Kaprun Castle
The apartments in Kaprun are near the large castle. Built in the 12th century, it was extensively renovated and reconstructed over recent years to become a popular place for events. Company parties, weddings, movie shoots and exciting cultural events take place here.
July’s annual castle festival is one of the highlights for medieval enthusiasts in the province of Salzburg. The first freestyle fighting tournament took place in 2006 as part of the festival. The castle, the bailey and the area presents itself in medieval air for two days with over 4,000 visitors going on a time travel back to the Middle Ages.
